Welcome to Parlazo. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Parlazo website and services (the “Service”). By creating an account or booking a lesson, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Parlazo is an online marketplace that connects language students with independent teachers for one-on-one video lessons. Parlazo provides the platform; teachers are independent providers and not employees of Parlazo. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
3. Booking and payment
- Lesson prices are set by each teacher and shown before you book.
- Payment is collected at the time of booking through our payment processor, Stripe. Parlazo does not store your full card details.
- A booking is confirmed only once the teacher accepts it. If a teacher declines, you are refunded in full.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Conduct
You agree to behave respectfully during lessons and not to use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, or abusive purpose. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Lessons and recordings
Lessons take place over live video. You may not record a lesson without the other participant’s consent. Shared materials (notes, files, whiteboard) are visible to both participants of a lesson.
7. Liability
The Service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Parlazo is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the conduct or content of teachers or students.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
